Capital
of is Santo Domingo de
Guzman, with a population of more than 2 million, intense nightlife and

Baptist and Mormon.

chose it as their top vacation destination. For two years in a row, one
million U.S. visitors spent their vacation here. That is why this
Gorgeous island was named “Caribbean’s #1 Destination” in 2006 by the
World Tourism Organization, title that was owned by Puerto
Rico for the
last forty years.
